NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski is Coming to Springfield! 🏈

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield is hosting its 26th Annual Steak & Steak Dinner on April 7th at University Plaza. NFL champion Rob Gronkowski is the guest of honor to help support a mission that reaches nearly 6,000 local youth every year. Grace sat down with Amber Alcorn to talk about how this massive night fuels a "home away from home" for our community's kids.
What is a "Steak & Steak" Dinner? 🥩 The name is a fun nod to the event's history. It originally started as "Steak & Burger," where the club kids got the fancy steak while the adult donors ate burgers! Now, everyone enjoys a steak dinner as we celebrate the club’s impact and hear from inspiring members like this year’s "Youth of the Year," Emilee.
More Than Just a Meal This event is a full-blown party. Attendees can jump into a football shot competition for a chance to compete with Gronk on stage, enter a diamond giveaway sponsored by Justice Jewelers, or bid in the live auction. Last year, this dinner raised over $265,000 to help shrink the club's waitlist and fund essential programs in the arts, education, and health.
How to Join the Fun 🎉 Tickets and table sponsorships are still available on the club's website. For the ultimate fan experience, there is a VIP upgrade that includes a personal meet-and-greet and a professional photo with Rob Gronkowski. If you can't make the dinner, you can still support their upcoming summer and back-to-school supply drives.

Community Strong: Supporting Our Fallen Heroes

The way the Ozarks shows up for one another is something special. What started as a small idea to honor Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and Deputy Michael Hislope - two heroes we tragically lost in the line of duty, has exploded into a massive community-wide fundraiser.
Heather Davis from Vineyard Market sat down with Grace to talk about how this event moved from a local shop to the Ozark Mountain Sports Complex just to fit everyone who wants to help. You really need to listen to the full interview to hear the heart behind this effort and the incredible list of people showing up to support these families.

The Game Plan
  • When: Sunday, March 29th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • Where: Ozark Mountain Sports Complex (the old Ducks Stadium) in Ozark.
  • Cost: It’s totally free to attend thanks to over $100,000 in donated local services.
What’s Happening
  • Car & Bike Show: Expect 300 to 500 antique cars from the Pharaohs Car Club and a huge lineup of motorcycles.
  • Live Music & Food: We’ll have live bands and plenty of local eats.
  • Auctions: We’re hosting both silent and live auctions to raise funds for the Christian County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
  • Special Guests: Mark Priebe will be speaking, and we are honored to have the families of our fallen deputies and the two injured officers in attendance.
How to Get Involved
If you have a cool ride, a $50 entry fee goes 100% to the Sheriff's Association. We are also still looking for items for the live auction. Check out the full conversation in the audio above for all the details, or CLICK HERE for the event page.

Immediate Support for Fallen Heroes: The Greene County 100 Club 🚔🚒

When a tragedy happens in law enforcement or the fire service, the Greene County 100 Club steps in to make sure the family never has to worry about things like the mortgage while they are in shock. Grace sat down with Springfield Police Chief Paul Williams and Board President Kim Roberts to talk about their mission to provide a check—no strings attached—within the first 24 hours of a line-of-duty death.
Kim knows the impact of this firsthand, as the club was at her door just 12 hours after she lost her husband, Deputy Aaron Roberts, in 2018. She shared how that financial stability gave her the empowerment to focus on her daughter and honor her husband’s legacy instead of stressing over the next utility bill. Chief Williams reminds us not to wait for a tragedy to show our support 🕊️. If you give, you're helping protect the families of those who protect us every day. Milk, Eggs, & 5 Generations of Grit: The Justin Raef Story

Justin Raef is a fifth-generation dairyman and poultry producer from Lebanon, Missouri, whose family has been working the same land since 1916. He brings a collection of stories that define the grit of rural life, including the time he was only eight years old and sneaking out of the house at 4:00 AM to beat his grandpa to the milk barn. It's a raw and honest look at the kind of persistence it takes to keep a Century Farm thriving in 2026.
Justin and Jamie explore the high-stakes reality of modern agriculture, highlighting a wild 24-hour window where Justin transitioned from a lifetime in the dairy business to a million-dollar poultry operation. With 20,000 hens now producing thousands of eggs a day alongside his dairy cows, Justin breaks down the daily grind of family teamwork and the market rollercoasters that define his "milk and eggs" lifestyle.
