Waste Wizard to the Rescue

Do you stop and question how to recycle what over and over? Apparently many of us want to keep waste to a minimum but get lost as to what goes where. Now there’s help, the Waste Wizard! The City of Springfield came up with a way to help citizens sort their waste properly. Search the database to find what repurpose, reuse, or recycle options are available throughout our community.

Springfield’s City Recycling Centers will hold celebrations for America Recycles Day on Friday, November 19. America Recycles Day is November 15, but since this year, that date is on a Monday, the city is honoring the occasion on Friday.

Thanksgiving Supply Crisis

This Thanksgiving might be the year to start serving new dishes for your dinner spread. The supply chain crisis is making it difficult for shelves to stay stocked. Especially if you plan to serve a refrigerated pie or cranberry sauce. Reports show that aluminum foil and boxed stuffing is not as bad off as it was last year as far as being in supply but it might be wise not to tempt fate.
