We had the chance to chat with Albert Rodriguez from Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Ozarks, an incredible organization dedicated to empowering youth through one-to-one mentoring. Their mission? To help kids in our community reach their full potential by providing supportive, positive adult role models who show up and genuinely care.
One program that truly stands out is Lunch Buddies. Imagine giving just one hour a week, sharing a meal, conversation, and laughter with a child who needs guidance and friendship.
Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for more Lunch Buddies to step up for this school year. And don’t worry, you’re never on your own. Match Support Specialists are there for guidance, monthly check-ins, and tips to help your match thrive.
I love when they shout out their matches on facebook! Moments like these prove that an hour a week can change a life, for both the Little and the Big.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, now’s the time. Sign up to become a Big, join in upcoming events, and see firsthand how just 60 minutes a week can make a lifetime of impact. The biggest reward? Watching your Little grow, gain confidence, and know they have someone in their corner.
