Making lunch today? Don’t make your sandwich with Boars Head deli meat!  A listeria outbreak from tainted meat is the reason for the recall.

Boar’s Head bologna, has been added to the list as well as liverwurst products produced between June 11, 2024, and July 17, 2024 and have a 44-day shelf life.

Other recalls included ready-to-eat deli meat products produced on June 27, 2024, with a sell-by date of August 10 through August 15, 2024.

Notable products include “Boar’s Head VIRGINIA HAM OLD FASHIONED HAM” and “Boar’s Head STEAKHOUSE ROASTED BACON HEAT & EAT.”

The multi-state outbreak has sickened 34 people across 13 states as of Thursday.  The listeria infections have been reported in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.

Should you have Boar Head products, dispose of the tainted meat, throw it away or return it back to the store for a refund..
