Most pantry’s have breadcrumbs. Breadcrumbs are used to add crunch to cooking and casseroles.

The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a nationwide recall due to undeclared allergens on 8-oz packages  La Fiesta brand Unseasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado) and Seasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado Sazonado)

The recall was initiated after discovering the product contained undeclared sesame, a potential allergen for consumers. The recall includes over 6,000 packages of unseasoned breadcrumbs and more than 6,000 packages of seasoned breadcrumbs sold nationwide.

The FDA has not received any reports of consumer illnesses or adverse effects following consumption of the breadcrumbs. However, if you have an allergy or sensitivity to sesame, the FDA urges consumers to throw away or return the recalled breadcrumbs to the place of purchase for a full refund.
