Heads up if you use a Christmas tree light controller.   There are about 44-thousand controllers that are being recalled because it can overheat and cause a fire.

The recall indicates the controllers were sold at WALMART and Cracker Barrel and were in a green, red and white peppermint candy design with a candy cane lever.  The controller display specifically says “Christmas Light Controller.”

Target sold a controller that is in a box with red, white, green, and white balls. The controllers display the words, “Tree Lighting Switch.”

The maker of the controller, Mr. Christmas has reported of 10 complaints of the controllers overheating.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled light controllers and return them for a full refund.
