The way the Ozarks shows up for one another is something special. What started as a small idea to honor Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and Deputy Michael Hislope – two heroes we tragically lost in the line of duty, has exploded into a massive community-wide fundraiser.
Heather Davis from Vineyard Market sat down with Grace to talk about how this event moved from a local shop to the Ozark Mountain Sports Complex just to fit everyone who wants to help. You really need to listen to the full interview to hear the heart behind this effort and the incredible list of people showing up to support these families.
The Game Plan
-
When: Sunday, March 29th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
-
Where: Ozark Mountain Sports Complex (the old Ducks Stadium) in Ozark.
-
Cost: It’s totally free to attend thanks to over $100,000 in donated local services.
What’s Happening
-
Car & Bike Show: Expect 300 to 500 antique cars from the Pharaohs Car Club and a huge lineup of motorcycles.
-
Live Music & Food: We’ll have live bands and plenty of local eats.
-
Auctions: We’re hosting both silent and live auctions to raise funds for the Christian County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
-
Special Guests: Mark Priebe will be speaking, and we are honored to have the families of our fallen deputies and the two injured officers in attendance.
How to Get Involved
If you have a cool ride, a $50 entry fee goes 100% to the Sheriff’s Association. We are also still looking for items for the live auction. Check out the full conversation in the audio above for all the details, or CLICK HERE for the event page.
