Both Hyundai and Kia companies are asking owners to park those vehicles outside away from anything that can catch fire. Certain Hyundai and Kai’s can catch fire even if the engines are off.

The recalls stems from a problem with the antilock brake control module that can cause an electrical short.

Which vehicles are affected?  Kia Sportage SUVs from 2014 – 2016, and K900 Sedans 2016- 2018. The Hyundai’s that are being recalled are Santa Fe SUV’s 2016-2018 7 and 2018 Santa Fe Sports, the 2019 Santa Fe XL and 2014 and 2015 Tucson SUVs.
