Love your scrambled eggs from the Waffle House? Get ready to pay more for those eggs at least temporarily.
Waffle House is now adding a 50-cent surcharge for each of your eggs.
This temporary surcharge will be added to all of their menus until egg production is back to normal.
The price increase is due to the deadly strain of bird flu which has eliminated many laying hens causing production to be very low, prompting an egg shortage.
Waffle House will monitor the egg prices and will adjust or remove the surcharge as the market changes.
