We are just about 3 weeks out from the 4th of July! Firework tents are popping up throughout Greene county.
If you live in the city limits of Springfield, there are some rules to obey pertaining to fireworks.
Fireworks are not allowed within Springfield city limits. What does that mean? It means you may not buy, sell, or set the fireworks off in Springfield.
What you can set off is smoke bombs, night crawlers, sparklers and snakes.
If you are caught setting off unlawful fireworks you could face a fine of $500 dollars.
If you don’t live within the Springfield city limits, please check with your local ordinances to see where you can set off fireworks.
