(AP) – Ford is recalling nearly 1.5 million vehicles in the U.S. because the rearview camera may show a blank or distorted image when the car is in reverse, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall covers several 2015–2019 models, including the Lincoln Navigator and MKC, Mustang, Ranger, Transit, Transit Connect, Econoline, Edge, Expedition, and F-Series Super Duty trucks (F-250 through F-550).

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford has linked the issue to 18 accidents but no injuries. Owners will be notified by mail and can bring their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have the camera inspected and replaced at no cost.
