Courtney Frerichs will not be running much in the 2024 running season.

Courtney, a Nixa native, won the Silver Medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Recently Courtney was practicing water jumps when her right knee hyperextended resulting in the tearing of her ACL along with tearing in her medial and lateral menisci.

Recent surgery will sideline the runner for several weeks, possibly months.
