Every child deserves a safe place to sleep, but for many families in Missouri, that isn’t always possible.

In this episode of Around the Ozarks Community Corner, Grace Gooley sits down with Shayla Jenkins and Erin Stieff from A Bed for Izzy, a local nonprofit providing safety beds for children and adults with developmental disabilities or medical challenges.
These specialized beds can cost up to $20,000 and are rarely covered by insurance. For families already doing everything they can to keep their loved ones safe, A Bed for Izzy steps in to make sure no one goes without a secure place to rest. Shayla and Erin share inspiring stories from families who’ve received beds — children sleeping safely for the first time, parents finally able to rest, and even families taking vacations together again.
Learn how you can help fund a bed, get involved, or share their mission at www.abedforizzy.com. 100% of donations go directly toward providing safety beds for those who need them most.
