The Missouri State Highway Patrol has a message for all drivers and boat operators- wear your seat belt, wear a life jacket, and follow Missouri laws on the road and on the water.
This weekend is the unofficial start of boating season and the Missouri Water patrol will be busy looking for those who are boating reckless or intoxicated.
The 3-day-Memorial holiday weekend will have every available Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper to be on patrol.
Troopers will be participating in Operation C.A.R.E (Crash Awareness Reduction Effort) during the weekend.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is asking for you to be courteous, and pay attention while driving on Missouri roadways or operating a vessel. Choose to be sober on land and on the water. Make good decisions or pay the consequences.
