You could lose a finger if you have the 9-quart Flip and Tow Rolling Igloo Cooler!

Igloo has issued a recall for 130,000 coolers due to concerns that pinch points around the handles and latches may lead to finger amputations.

The recall  includes the 9-quart Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers produced at a facility in Katy, Texas, before January 2024. These were sold at various retailers such as Costco, Target, Academy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and online through Amazon and Igloo’s website.

So far the company has reports of 78 fingertip injuries, with several cases resulting in fingertip amputations, bone fractures and lacerations.
