Look for Modot crews to be working the roads, filling in potholes around the state, weather permitting!

Potholes form after warm days and cold nights.  Moisture from rain and snow seeps into cracks and joints in the pavement.  The frozen water then expands and causes the  pavement to buckle, bulge and bend thus breaking the pavement.

Watch for Modot crews and “give them a brake” and please scoot over to the next lane when possible ! It’s the law!

You can report the location of potholes on state roads by calling the MODOT 24/7 Customer Service Center at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636).

Use the Report a Road Concern at www.modot.org/report-road-concern.

Potholes on local streets and subdivisions should be reported to local city or county maintenance departments.
