Area hunters can hunt during the spring turkey season through May 11,2025
The Missouri Conservation Department authorities indicate the turkey population is more plentiful than in past years.

Hunters should be aware of the following when hunting:
- Limit of two male turkeys or turkeys with visible beard
- You may take only one turkey during the first week
- If you do not take one during the first week, then you may take two turkeys during the second and third week.
- You may not take two turkeys on the same day
- Resident permits are $18
- Non-resident permits are $243.50
- Methods allowed include shotguns with shot no larger than #4, bows, and atlatls
- Shooting hours are all day on private land, public land deadline of 1 p.m.
