💙 Too often, when we think of homelessness, we picture adults… but right here in the Ozarks, there are teens and children without a safe place to go. In this episode of Around the Ozarks Community Corner, Grace Gooley sits down with Michelle and Tim from KVC Missouri, a nonprofit providing shelter and support for youth and families in crisis.

They share how KVC helps homeless and at-risk youth — from newborns to 17-year-olds — with a warm bed, meals, healthcare, and stability when life falls apart. Through their Transitional Living Program, they also help teens and young adults (ages 16–21) build independence and learn the skills they need to move forward on their own.

Tim opens up about his own experience as a teen who faced homelessness and how that journey led him to now help others find safety and hope through KVC.

If you or someone you know needs help, or you’d like to get involved, call 417-861-4244 anytime or visit kvc.org.

Because crisis doesn’t wait — and neither does KVC.
