Join the Springfield-Green County Park Board for a Fall Backpacking Trip! Backpack and camp a gorgeous section of the Ozark Trail, spanning two State Parks. This overnight trip starts by hiking from Taum Sauk State Park to the 132-foot waterfall at Mina Sauk Falls, through Devil’s Tollgate rock formation, ending at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park. This is a strenuous-level overnight backpacking trip, covering 13 miles in two days, so physical fitness is a must. Transportation provided. Major gear available for rent. Suggested gear lists and meal planning help is available. Register by Oct. 21.
