As the saying goes “Wish upon a falling star!” Great news, you will find those falling stars tonight! Tonight is the peak time for the Lyrids Meteor Shower!
The Lyrid meteor shower will run through April 25. But this evening is the best time for viewing several per hour.
For best viewing, lie down in a safe place, away from bright lights. Around 10:30 pm will be a peak time and just before 5 am.
Even though the Lyrids are not as plentiful as the Perseids in August, Lyrids can surprise watchers with as many as 100 meteors seen per hour.
Don’t forget to make a wish!
