It’s all about fire safety this fall at the Discovery Center!  The Center has teamed up with the Springfield Fire Department to bring an interactive “hands-on”  fire “sub-station” to the building.

Fire Station 3.14 is an exhibit  which will open at the end of September.

It will have activities which involve the following:

• 911 Call Simulator
• Fire Hose Target Practice
• Hands-Only CPR Station
• Dress Like a Firefighter Station
• Fire Safety Hazard House
• Build an Escape Plan Wall
• Check the Door Display
• Firefighter Tools Match-Up

It all boils down to fire safety habits with teachable, educational, interactions.
