According to a noticed published by the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service about 25 thousand pounds of frozen taquitos sold at Aldi have been recalled.

Authorities say the food item contains pieces of metal.

The  20-ounce packages of Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos produced by Bestway Sandwiches, Inc., produced on July 3, 2024, and September 25, 2024 are the products in the recall.

“The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it received a consumer complaint reporting that a piece of metal was found in the frozen chicken and cheese taquito product,” the FSIS wrote. “

Consumers can also identify the affected product via its best-by dates (July 3, 2025 and Sept. 25, 2025) and its establishment number (EST. P-40327), both of which are printed on the package.

Consumers who have any affected taquito items in their freezers  may return them to Aldi for a refund. Anyone with additional questions can call Bestway at (818) 361-1800 EXT.110.
