Heads up! Get ready for a re-route on Sunshine or long delays possible!

The Sunshine Street bridge project is finally underway, beginning today, August 4, 2025!

Closures can be expected on Sunshine from Scenic to Kansas Expressway for at least the next four months.

Traffic will be also impacted from Republic to Springfield.

While work  is underway one lane in each direction will be open from Kansas Expressway to local businesses along the road.

Engineers acknowledge that the project has a hard deadline of 120 days to finish.
