It’s a new year, and that means new applications are being accepted for those seniors in Greene County to apply or re-apply for the property tax freeze.

The current senior tax credit freezes the real estate tax, at the current rate.  Who can apply? Those who are over 62.

The tax freeze will enable those seniors to know how much their taxes will be from year to year. Helpful when budgeting.

Those who were approved last year, must again apply for this year’s freeze. The deadline is June 30, 2025.

The freeze is good only on your current home, if you move, you will need to apply for the credit once again.
