If you win BIG Lottery money, you won’t get it immediately. Here are some  things to know!

Winning the lottery would be awesome!

A man from California won $44 million in August.

One problem. He hasn’t received ANY money from it yet.

The winner, whose name is Jerry, said he won the Powerball Jackpot on August 19 ,2024.  Lottery officials indicated that it could take six to eight weeks before he gets his hands on his winnings.

The reason? A lengthy vetting process which makes sure the winner doesn’t owe back taxes or child support.

It has now been 10 weeks since winning the BIG bucks and Jerry still hasn’t been given any money.

Keep this in mind,  should you win the lottery, officials will hand over the money when they are ready, and not before.
