It is now official, there is a new Mayor in town!

Jeff Schrag, founder of Mother’s Brewing Company, will take the place of Mayor Ken McClure who has served as Springfield’s Mayor since 2017.

Jeff Schrag won the mayoral race, beating out former council member Mary Collette.

Schrag had 8,702 votes and Collette had 5,447 votes.

The newly elected mayor will begin a four-year term instead of a two-year term.

Schrags personal motto is “leave everything better than when you found it.”
