Snow plow drivers in the city, county and MoDot have been working nonstop to clear southwest, Missouri’s roads, highways, and routes.

Now its the sun’s turn.

Warmer temps will help the salt on the roadway to work. If temps get below 15-20 degrees, the salt becomes less ineffective.

Currently you will find most area highways in good shape, however side streets, and some rural routes will still have layers of hard packed snow and ice, making slippery conditions for drivers and pedestrians.

Be patient, slow down and expect  slick patches until everything is cleared.
