There are several year-round programs available to help those with low income who need assistance with their utilities.

Here is what you do:

Apply for Missouri’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP. This program will help those in need of energy assistance.  This one-time payment on heating or cooling can be as high as $300. Crisis money is also available if you are in threat of disconnect.

The deadline for LIHEAP Energy Assistance is May 31, 2025 through the Missouri Department Of Social Services.
