The cold snap that has the Ozarks in the deep freeze has caused some issues too for those in need of shelter.
The warming shelters have seen a record increase of those seeking to get out of the cold and have a warm place for the night.
Shelters unfortunately have had to turn away people away who were seeking shelter during the polar plunge.
There is an urgent need for volunteers. Some area shelters don’t have enough volunteers.
