Weekend Update for Dec.13-15


Wynonna and the Big Noise Rockin’ Roots Christmas at the Gilloiz. Doors open at 6:30- Concert at 8 pm

Festival of Lights Holiday Exhibit at the Jordan Valley Ice Park- Skaters of all ages and levels will be perform.  Tickets are $5.00

Santa’s workshop at the Mansfield Community Center. Starting at 8 am  kiddos will come over from the school to check out each booth and buy some Christmas gifts!

Head to the Library Center to build your own cozy cabin ornament and learn how to decorate clay ornaments with a marbled design during this festive make-and-take ornament crafting session. Materials will be provided. Free from 6-8 pm


Springfield Santa Run begins at 8 am-  Each participant receives a 5-piece Santa suit to run in, this includes a hat, beard, coat, pants and belt, with lots of hot chocolate and cheery snacks to look forward to at the finish line. There are only 1,500 suits so sign up before they  run out! $40 dollars day of race. The race begins at 438 E. Show me the snakes! It’s the “Show Me Reptile and Exotic’s Show” at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Entry fee $5.00 with kids 12 and under FREE

Check out Disney Frozen Junior at the Springfield Little Theater for two shows- 2 pm and 7:30 pm at the Springfield Little Theater.

Downtown Springfield Christmas Parade begins at 2 pm.  This year’s theme is Silver Bells: It’s Christmas Time in the City. Watch for Santa! The Parade begins on South Street to Park Central Square ends on St. Louis Street FREE

Monett Christmas Parade begins at 11 am and runs down East Broadway. Fully decorated floats and Santa- FREE 

Wilson Creeks National Battlefield’s Memorial Luminary Driving Tour begins at 4:30. It’s Free
