November first begins the opening of "Crisis cold weather shelters," in Springfield! If temps fall to 32 degrees or below for at least four consecutive hours between 7 pm and 7 am, the shelters will be open. Parts Of Division Street Closed Until November 7!
Heads up drivers! A portion of Division street will be closed. Road work at the railroad tracks on the east side of Division near Associated Grocers will be shut down in both directions. Road crew contractors, will be replacing the existing railroad crossing on Division St in between Belcrest Ave and US 65. Work is tentatively scheduled to be complete on November 07, 2022 at 06:00 am.

New Additions To The Dickerson Park Zoo!
There is a new litter of Capybara pups at the Dickerson Park Zoo! They look like HUGE rats! These cute little pups are over 2 weeks old now and are now able to be viewed outside! The Capybara is known as the largest living rodent in the world and is called a water hog. Welcome little ones!
