Need some holiday assistance this year in Greene County?  The Council of Churches, Crossline, will be taking Christmas Basket applications November 27-Dec. 2.  This also applies to the Christmas Toy Store.

Monday, Nov. 27 – Saturday, Dec 2
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
plus Wednesday, Nov 29
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Senior-only households may apply over the phone during the above times, by calling 417-862-3586.

To qualify for holiday assistance programs through Crosslines, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be residents of Greene County
  • Must provide Social Security Cards for all members of household (including children)
  • Must provide a piece of mail less than 30 days old
  • Household income must fall at or below USDA Poverty Scale for family size

In addition, applicants must meet ONE of the following requirements:

  • A school-aged or younger child (birth to 18 years) must be living in the household
    OR
  • All members of the household must be 60 years

Applying for Homebound Clients (60+)

If all members of the household are homebound, an aide or another individual NOT living in the household must apply with a signed permission note from the client. This person should bring the following items to Crosslines when they come to apply:

  • The client’s ID
  • A piece of the client’s mail less than 30 days old
  • The Social Security cards of every member in the client’s household
  • A note signed by the client giving the aide permission to apply
