Police in Bolivar are looking for two people in connection with circulating the fake money.
The Bolivar Police has released this info on counterfeit money
The serial numbers are always the same — JG85091793D.The ink is darker than a normal $20 bill.The texture of paper feels different than regular money.Businesses and those handling money should keep an eye out for the counterfeit $20 bills.
What can you do?
Look at each bill before handing over any money.
Buy a fake money detector pen. Once drawn on the money it will become invisible if the bill is real, it will stay on the bill if its fake.
If you should see or encounter fake money, contact the police.
