What you will see is more people flying but over all delays should be kept to a minimal.  However you will not have the same luck going into other airports or leaving those airports.

The FFA suggests that the long July holiday weekend will be quite taxing on airports, and airlines as record amount of flyers are vacationing and traveling via plane.

Many factors are involved in the delays.  Not enough air traffic controllers, weather, and possibilities of over-booking on each flight will cause cancellations and postponements.
