What’s been happening in Missouri? Measles!

If you are up-to-date on your MMR vaccinations, (Measles, mumps and Rubella shots) you should be effectively protected from the virus.

Authorities say that measles are extremely contagious if not vaccinated.  Vaccination success rate stands at 97% against the rash.

Measle symptoms begin like a cold. You can expect fever, runny nose, and a  cough.  Days later the red bump rash will begin on the head and work it’s way down the body.

Measle bumps can even be found on the palm of hands and the bottom of feet.  The rash is very uncomfortable and could be dangerous to some individuals with compromised immune systems.
