The Springfield Police Department has a new puppy!  The comfort K9 is a brown chocolate Labrador Retriever and he needs a name.

So far the 4 top names are  Lt. Dan, Gary, Mac and Copper.   The  puppy is 8-weeks-old, and is part of the $35,000 grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation to support officer wellness.

The names were chosen by the Springfield Police Department’s Leadership Council.
