Since we talked at last years at the Born & Raised Festival, Tanner Usrey has ascended to a whole other level. He’s come a long way since his days growing up in the small town of Prosper, TX.  Inspired by the likes of George Strait, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Rolling Stones plus his favorite, Whiskey Myers, he combined all these influences to create his own style of singing and songwriting.  In 2019, he quit his “real job” and committed fulltime to his music career rolling out the Medicine Man EP, followed in 2021 by the SÕL Sessions EP, racking up tens of millions of streams. A spot on the Yellowstone Season 4 finale only brought more attention to his rising stardom.

His skills and growing fan base caught the attention of Atlantic Records Nashville. His latest release “Who I Am” marks the latest in a series of new releases, including “Last Goodbye” and this spring’s Atlantic label debut, “Give It Some Time“.  I sat down with Tanner at The Born & Raised Festival where he caught us up on a busy year since we talked last.
