Look in the sky! Is that a bird? Superman? A plane? Yep that’s a plane, and it’s not just any plane, it’s “FIFi,” an historic B-29 which was used in training but was never flown overseas in WW2.
Fifi was decommissioned in the 1950’s and sent to the desert to retire, until a man bought her and restored this majestic beauty.
Vintage aircrafts can be seen near the Expedia Office Complex at the Springfield-Branson Airport at 5000 W. Kearney St.
This event is open to the public today thru Monday, September 4. Don’t miss the B-24 bomber, a T-6 Texan, a PT-13 Stearman, and a RC-45J Expeditor! Tomorrow morning, (August 31), a P-51 Mustang “Gunfighter” will be added to the show.
If you want to get up-close to these historic planes, park in the south end of the Expedia parking lot. Hours are 9 am- 5pm.
Admission fees are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 11-17 and free for children 10 and under.
