Missouri’s own Sam Barber kicked off the concert side of Bulls, Bands, & Barrels Saturday evening at the Great Southern Bank Arena. He grew up in a large family in Frohna, Missouri in Perry County.  Sam didn’t even pick up a guitar until well into his teens. Now, at just 20 years of age he’s already garnered a huge following! Things started to take off for him after he posted a video of himself doing a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” during his time at State Technical College. Suddenly, it looks like his planned career in the tech industry will have to take a backseat to music. Before his performance, I had the opportunity to ask him a few questions…

A big “Congrats” goes out to our Grand Prize winner, Zach Westfall! Talk about a “perfect” winner! Zach has three sons and they all had a great time at the show! Their winning package included early access and the chance to get up close and personal with the stars of BBB! They also had the chance to meet Sam Barber, plus up close seats for all the Bullriding and Barrel Racing action!

Just so you know, the plans are already in the works for Bulls, Bands, & Barrels to return to Springfield in 2025! And once again, 105.1 The Bull will have your chance to win your way to the show! Maybe next year you’ll be like Zach and his boys! Hanging out backstage and talking in the show from up front!
