Attention Medicare recipients! The Department of Justice is warning Medicare recipients of a data breach.
Letters were sent to recipients from the DOJ’s Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys on or around April 4.
If you received a letter and are trying to get confirmation, you may contact the Department of Justice at 1-844-979-6702 for more information.
If you feel your information has been compromised, you can be proactive and freeze your credit, especially if you are planning on purchasing a home or vehicle soon.
By freezing your credit- it will stop scammers from taking out credit cards or even loans in your name.
You can freeze your credit by going to each of the credit bureau’s websites.
