It’s day two of the National Weather Service issuing a “Red Flag Warning” for all of Southwest Missouri.

Why a Red Flag warning? High winds, the temptretures are up, and the humidity is low making prime conditions for fires. Add to that, it’s been extremely dry.

Because of drought conditions, grass and vegetation can catch fire quickly and spread easily.

Outdoor burning is not recommended.
