The lack of rain in the Ozarks could really influence the black walnut crop in the Ozarks this year.

What little water we did get this summer was used to sustain the black walnut trees instead of using it for walnut growth. This in turn will impact the size and amount of black walnuts produced.

Black walnut season is usually the end of September into October when the walnuts drop from the trees.

Missouri is the world’s top producer of black walnuts.
