She’s from Sealy, Texas, a small town west of Houston. Drawing inspiration from a Natalie Maines’ solo performance at a Dixie Chicks show, she started playing guitar. While going to school at Texas A&M, she helped form “The Sidehill Gougers.” The band became a regional sensation. She released her first solo project in 2015 and “Jumping Over Rocks” in 2018.
