Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security said it will be delaying the REAL ID requirement for air travel.

It looks like we still have another two years to get that special star on our license. The  Real I.D. program, was set to begin May 3, 2023 but now will be enforced starting May 7, 2025.

 This extension will give states more time to ensure residents have the new I.D. cards to meet the Real I.D. guidelines
