A cold winter blast is expect to hit the Ozarks Thursday night and last thru Christmas. There are several different ways in which you can protect your water pipes and keep them from freezing during this cold spell.

If you have a sink, shower, bathtub or toilet on an outside wall, make sure heat is available.  Open cabinet doors, add a small space heater or turn up the thermostat to keep the water from freezing.

Using insulation and heat tape are also good alternatives to keep pipes warm in crawl spaces.

Keep water dripping during the cold spells.

Make sure all hoses are off the outside hose bibs. By NOT taking off the hoses- this is a GOOD way to have frozen pipes.
