It looks like we are one step closer for Missourians to show a photo I.D. before voting.

The Missouri senators did pass a bill Monday, requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls. The Bill must seek the final approval of both Senate and House before heading to the Governors desk for final approval and to be signed into law. The final day of the legislative session is THIS Friday, May, 13.

The bill would also allow two weeks of no-excuse absentee voting.

Currently,  Missourians must present some form of ID- it could be a utility bill or a driver’s license,  but it does not have to be a photo ID.
