If you are planning on a little hike around the Fellows Lake area, be prepared to find another trail.

Three trail areas are closed until April 8, after recommendations of CU of Springfield and the Ozark Greenways.

The three trails that are closed are Jerry’s Progress, Chandler Way and Vera’s Holdout.  Several reports of aggressive dogs at those locations have prompted the closures.

Currently animal control and owners of the dogs are working on a solution.
