We are just about a month out from the big solar eclipse! The solar eclipse is set for April 8, 2024.
Though Springfield will not be in the solar eclipse path of totality, we will have about 97% of the sun covered, so viewing will be spectacular! Eye protection is a must.
NASA authorities relayed that viewing any part of the sun with the naked eye, even through a telescope, camera lens, or binoculars without a special solar filter, could instantly cause severe eye injuries. The ONLY time to look at the sun is when the moon is blocking the sun in totality.
So where can you buy solar eclipse protection glasses?
