Springfield City Council has officially signed off on a pair of rate hikes for City Utilities customers. The first bump hits in early 2027—about a three percent increase. New Discount Store Coming To Springfield

Discount retailer Ollie’s will open its first Springfield location on Thursday, October 23 at 9 a.m. The store is moving into the former Big Lots space on East Battlefield next to Food 4 Less. Winter Is Coming! MoDOT Needs Help!

MoDOT is already preparing for winter after facing driver shortages last year. In the Ozarks and across the state, workers were shifted around to keep roads clear.
