An incredible 90 thousand deer were bagged over the first weekend of firearms deer season.
Deer hunters, take note, if you wish to donate your fresh venison, the “Share the Harvest” food program, which helps area families, would love your donations.
To date nearly five million pounds of venison has been donated to the program since 1992.
Donating your deer is easy. Take it to an approved meat processor and tell them how much you wish to donate to the “Share the Harvest” program.
